Founded in 1978, the Hemoglobin Switching Meeting is the premiere conference focused on understanding the mechanisms behind the switch between fetal and adult hemoglobin production. The biennial meeting brings together students and top researchers in the field to share their findings and build connections.
Our Mission
To educate, advance and develop therapies for hemoglobinopathies by hosting conferences of international groups of scientists, physicians and other researchers to discuss the latest developments in the underlying etiology, mechanisms of action, and developmental acquisition of cellular and systemic defects exhibited and elicited bt the most common inherited human disorders, the hemoglobinopathies.
